The Ecology Department at Montana State University is seeking a Research 
Associate to perform spatial analyses in support of ecological and conservation 
research applications within the Hansen Landscape Biodiversity Lab. This 
position provides technical support to the lab director in spatial analysis, 
statistical analysis, data management, communication and publication.

This position provides technical support to the lab director in spatial 
analysis, data management, communication and publication. Current studies focus 
on rates and drivers of climate and land use change, consequences for species, 
habitats, ecosystems and policy implications.

Duties and Responsibilities     
Perform spatial and statistical analyses using Esri products, Google Earth 
Engine, R, and other software.
Contribute to the writing and preparation of scientific publications.
Manage, archive, and serve numerous large data sets.
Maintain the lab web pages.
Coordinate multidisciplinary research teams.
Prepare maps, graphics, resource briefs and other visuals for communication to 
diverse audiences.
