*The Department of Biology at the University of Louisville (http://louisville.edu/biology <http://louisville.edu/biology>) invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of Genetics at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2019*. We are particularly interested in individuals with research in the broad areas of Genetics and Cell Biology, using modern molecular genetic approaches to investigate a variety of questions across the biological spectrum; we also encourage candidates who can take advantage of collaborative opportunities in the Department and on-campus. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the department's teaching mission in large-enrollment Biology core courses (Genetics and Molecular Biology and/or Cellular and Molecular Biology) and upper-level or graduate-level course(s) in the area of interest of the candidate. Moreover, the candidate must maintain an excellent record of research productivity and external funding. The position requires postdoctoral research experience, a solid publication record, and demonstration of high potential for maintaining an externally funded, independent research program.
