Position Description Summary The Department of Life Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in conservation biology. We seek a motivated and talented person with a research focus on coastal and marine species and ecosystems. We prefer applicants whose expertise are complementary to existing faculty and fill known gaps in the department (among others, coastal /marine reptiles, mammals, and/or birds). The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program, supervise graduate students, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in conservation biology and their individual expertise. This position will further expand and complement our M.S./Ph.D. programs in Marine Biology (http://sci.tamucc.edu/LSCI/MARB/) and M.S. Biology (https://sci.tamucc.edu/LSCI/BIOL/ms/index.html). Appointment will begin Fall 2019.
