Assistant Professor of Global Environmental Change and Health

The Department of Environmental Health Sciences in the UCLA Fielding 
School of Public Health invites applications for a tenure-track 
Assistant Professor position in Global Environmental Change and Health. 
We encourage applications in any area of global environmental change, 
including (1) climate change and health, (2) health effects associated 
with urbanization, (3) water and ecosystem health, (4) migration and 
environmental health, and (5) planetary health. Candidates must have an 
earned doctorate in relevant discipline and a record of scholarship in 
the area of global environmental change and health. Duties include both 
teaching and maintaining a vigorous research program. We value 
candidates whose experience in teaching, research and service has 
prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and 
excellence.

Faculty Position in Public Health and Urban Planning 

The UCLA Departments of Environmental Health Sciences and Urban Planning 
invite applications for a tenured or tenure-track joint faculty 
appointment in public health and urban planning. We seek a bold, 
innovative thinker who is, or soon will be, a leading scholar of the 
linkages between urban environments and health outcomes, and how 
policies and other interventions can improve these outcomes. Attractive 
candidates for this interdisciplinary position might study: health 
benefits of green infrastructure and the natural environment, including 
water and ecosystem infrastructure; or how urban design features and 
transportation systems affect environmental exposures and health; or the 
health effects of land use and housing patterns, including environment 
and health in low-income and/or minority communities.

demonstrate exceptional promise for scholarship and teaching. Applicants
