Colleagues,

As part of an effort to identify responses of small mammals to global change,
we are seeking
short- or long-term small mammal trapping/census records from sites in North
America that
you may be willing to share for a forthcoming study.

We are primarily interested in trap/census records of rodents that contain
information on
reproductive state of individuals from autopsies or external examinations
(pregnant, lactating,
mammae size, testes size and position, etc). Historic datasets of this mould
are of particular
interest, but all such datasets are of high potential value for our study.
Field notes with
comparable reproductive data (ie from collecting expeditions) are also of
potential value.

Records will be integrated with an extensive database of publicly-available
data that our group
has synthesized from historic (e.g., past censuses and museum specimens) and
modern (e.g.
LTER) sources.

Thanks in advance (and please reply off-list),
Bryan
