The University of Chicago's Department of Ecology & Evolution in the Biological Sciences Division is searching for a tenured or tenure-track faculty member at any rank with preference for an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, and invites applications. We seek applicants pursuing research on applying empirical approaches, or a combination of theoretical and empirical approaches, to understand ecological or evolutionary processes, and who innovatively address major questions in ecology, evolution, or behavior and related areas.
A goal of this search is to increase the diversity of the faculty in Ecology and Evolution and across the Biological Sciences Division, and we therefore welcome applicants who come from groups that are historically underrepresented, such as Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian or Alaskan Native. At The University of Chicago, we are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.
