Unity College Distance Education is seeking to fill an Assistant Professor in 
Environmental Science or Environmental Studies to help support recently 
established online undergraduate environmental programs.

This faculty member will have the qualifications and experience that enables 
them to make significant contributions in the interdisciplinary Environmental 
Studies major, Environmental Professional Core, Sustainability courses, and 
upper-level courses in their area of expertise.  Candidates with demonstrated 
expertise in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or Sustainability 
with a global or social justice perspective are especially desirable.  Faculty 
are expected to develop and teach courses, oversee programs, conduct 
scholarship, provide service as needed, advise students, and mentor capstone 
projects.  Faculty will use the MLS system Canvas, implement appropriate 
pedagogical techniques for the online environment, and provide course materials 
in a professional, appropriate, clear, and rigorous manner.  The ideal 
candidate will have a PhD in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or 
Sustainability Science with scholarship interests in diversity, social justice, 
and/or international perspectives.
