*Position Description*

The Department of Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England
invites applications for a full-time appointment in its innovative,
interdisciplinary graduate department with programs leading to Master’s and
Doctoral degrees in Environmental Studies. The selected candidate will
teach graduate courses, direct thesis and dissertation research, and
advance their own research and service agenda to provide opportunities for
student collaboration and support.



We seek a highly collaborative, motivated, and hands-on faculty member who
is enthusiastic about innovative and interdisciplinary teaching and
learning. The desired candidate will have a track record of professional
collaboration, applied research, peer-reviewed publications, and community
engagement. The research program of the candidate should be complementary
to the current faculty.



This is a full-time faculty appointment in the Department of Environmental
Studies. Full-time faculty members are expected to devote 60-80% of their
time to engagement with student learning, including teaching face-to-face
and/or low-residency, hybrid courses. The selected candidate should be able
to teach graduate courses such as conservation biology, ecology, vertebrate
ecology, wildlife management, biostatistics, GIS, and/or landscape ecology,
and will have the opportunity to develop and lead field study courses as
well as courses in their area of expertise. Full-time faculty members are
also expected to engage in scholarship, service to the institution, and
professional or community service related to their Antioch role. Candidates
should have a doctoral degree in-hand at contract start date, prior
teaching experience, and an active research program.
