I’m familiar with plenty of vertebrates in my local cypress lagoons, but I
don’t have that same awareness of the microfauna, which I’m sure is diverse and
fascinating on its own. I’ve tried looking online, but most mentions of
microfauna simply group them together as a unit, or divide them into micro- and
meiofauna without any other details.

Thus I would appreciate any references to research on microfauna in cypress
lagoons. I’m especially interested in organisms that would fall prey to
bladderwort (Utricularia sp.) but I’d be glad of any references or citations
that are related at all. Please contact me off-list, with my thanks in advance.
