Share this Job View On Map <https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Arizona%20State%20University%20Tempe%2C%20Arizona%20Tempe%2C%20AZ%2085287> *Pay:* $43,920 to $45,000/year Depends on experience *Posted:* 6/12/2018 *Job Status:* Full Time *Job Reference #:* 42716BR *Categories: *Administrative/Clerical <https://phoenix.jobing.com/cat/administrative-clerical> *Keywords:* Job Description *Project Coordinator, Global Drylands Center* *Arizona State University* *Global Drylands Center * *Campus: Tempe * *42716BR* *Job Description:* The Global Drylands Center (GDC) at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability is seeking a project coordinator to perform a central role in coordinating the multiple activities of the GDC. *Salary Range: * $43,920 - $45,000 per year; DOE *Close Date:* 26-June-2018 *Essential Duties*: •Coordinates project activities and assists in execution •Works closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to define project activities, budget, and outcomes •Prepares and manages logistics, scheduling, and target audience communications •Manages hiring of independent contractors, research team, and hourly personnel •Responsible for purchasing/reimbursement/travel – process purchase requisitions, reimbursements and travel for GDC Director, Assistant Director and students •Coordinates events – plans and organizes GDC conferences, seminars, workshops, visitors and meetings •Maintains direct contact with individuals from various outside organizations and university departments associated with scheduled project/program •Manages Center accounts – assists GDC Director with managing budgets •Assists in proposal and report writing •Develops PowerPoint presentations *Minimum Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree. 2 years related experience; 1 of which is in project management, OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. *Desired Qualifications: * •Experience organizing projects and processes •Experience in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities •Demonstrated knowledge of project management and budgeting •Evidence of effective written, oral, and inter-personal communication skills •Experience in work that requires attention to detail and organization •Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Applications including Excel and PowerPoint *Working Environment:* Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking. Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer; bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds. Ability to clearly communicate verbally in English, read, write, see and hear to perform essential duties.
