Please email me at je...@ucalgary.ca with the name of any ecologist (or people in allied fields like fish & wildlife, forestry, etc.) hired into any tenure-track asst. prof. position at any N. American college or university that was advertised in 2017-18. A fairly comprehensive list of these positions is available at ecoevojobs.net (2017-18 edition).
I ask because each year I attempt to compile a comprehensive database of newly-hired N. American tenure-track asst. professors in ecology and allied fields. The data speak to diversity and equity issues in faculty hiring (https://dynamicecology.wordpress.com/2017/10/02/newly-hired-tenure-track-n-american-asst-professors-of-ecology-are-59-women/), and provide useful background information to faculty job seekers (e.g., https://dynamicecology.wordpress.com/2017/10/17/a-crude-statistical-profile-of-the-research-productivity-of-recently-hired-tt-n-american-ecology-faculty/). Please do not send me confidential information. You are just saving me the effort of googling publicly-available information later this year. As you can imagine, it's a lot of work to compile the data, so any help you can provide is much appreciated. Please also let me know of any failed searches or any searches that were filled at a more senior level. Again, that saves me some googling.
