The Bernhardt Lab at Duke University is seeking a highly motivated 
candidates for a hydrologic technician to assist with collection and 
management of field data. The StreamPULSE project focuses on monitoring 
stream metabolism using advanced sensors and sophisticated modeling. For

Expectations for this position:
-Assisting graduate students and postdocs in projects related to their 
individual research
-Weekly stream monitoring site visits
-Discharge Measurements
-Water Chemistry Sampling
-Field and Sensor Data Collection
-Laboratory chemistry analysis
-Data reduction, cleaning, management, and analysis

Minimum Qualifications
-B.S. in Biology, Ecology, Geology or related field
->1 year experience in stream monitoring and hydrologic data analysis
-Able to work outside in various field conditions
-Knowledge of Campbell Scientific, YSI, and other advanced hydrologic 
sensor technologies

Desired Qualifications
-M.S. in Biology, Ecology, Geology, or related field 
-1-5 years experience in stream monitoring and hydrologic data analysis
-Knowledge of R,Campbell Scientific, YSI, and experience with data 
management
-Experience with construction, installation and repair of sensor platforms
