Wildland Restoration Team (WRT) Leader gains valuable professional and
practical experience in the burgeoning field of ecological restoration.

The primary focus of the WRT is the identification, treatment, and
inventory of invasive plant species throughout our most iconic and
endangered landscapes in the Northern Rockies and Plains ecosystems
utilizing chemical, mechanical and biological treatment techniques. Upon
successful completion of an eight week training period the Team Leader
(TL) will be responsible for leading 3 WRT Members through a 3- or 6-
month term of service. Primary duties of the TL include serving as
primary infield liaison between Regional Staff and Project Partners,
ensuring that MCC policies and procedures are followed by all Team
Members, and establishing and maintaining positive relationships with
Project Partners, Team Members, MCC Staff, youth and volunteers. This
position is supervised by the Wildland Restoration Field Coordinator.
The TL is an AmeriCorps participant and is entitled to the benefit
