Hi Ecologists –

St. Lawrence University, a small liberal arts college in northern New York, is
looking for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology with a specialization in
ecology/conservation for a 1-2 year sabbatical replacement position.

I can attest that this is a great place to work if you enjoy teaching AND
scholarship.

Below is the blurb from the university website. Feel free to check the link or
message me directly with questions.

Cheers,

Erika

The Biology Department at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a
sabbatical replacement in Ecology and Conservation Biology as a Visiting

one additional year. In support of our majors in biology, conservation biology,
and biology-environmental studies, preference will be given to candidates who
can teach introductory and upper level courses in the areas of ecology,
organismal biodiversity and/or conservation biology. Teaching duties may
include a capstone course in conservation biology. Other teaching
responsibilities could include a course such as entomology, herpetology,
mammalogy or other organismal biodiversity course, or an advanced ecology
course such as ecosystem ecology, behavioral ecology, etc. Candidates may also
have the opportunity to offer a course of their own design and interest
according to their expertise. Teaching responsibility will be 2 courses per
semester at least one of which will have a lab.

The department of Biology at St. Lawrence University is committed to building a
diverse and inclusive community where members from all backgrounds can live,
learn, and thrive. We ask that you include with your application materials a
one page statement on how your teaching, scholarship and/or community service
could support our commitment to diversity and inclusion in the context of a
