Dear Colleagues,

The EcoHealth Student Section of the International Association of Ecology and
Health (IAEH) is now accepting submissions for its “Dialogues” program to
appear in the “News from the IAEH” section of the journal EcoHealth. The
Dialogues
program<https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs10393-012-0788-0> pairs
700-word student commentary on relevant topics with a relevant 300-word
response from an EcoHealth professional.

The program is committed to fostering communication between students and
professionals and to providing an outlet for students to articulate their
opinions on working within the EcoHealth field. Topics pertinent to the
Dialogues program might include, but are not limited to, how to improve
interdisciplinary training in graduate programs, how the field of EcoHealth can
grow in the future, or how students balance research and advocacy on EcoHealth
topics. The primary theme of essays, however, should relate to being a student
doing EcoHealth work; the more these discussions can be tied into your
experience with your research, the better!

Past Dialogues essays (e.g.,
here<https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10393-014-0999-7> and
here<https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs10393-014-0932-0>) have
discussed the role of EcoHealth students in national public health agencies,
EcoHealth approaches to health communication and student positioning within the
science–policy interface, and importance of socio-ecological context in
EcoHealth initiatives.

Please email questions and/or submissions to
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. Students are
encouraged to contact the editorial staff for suggestions on professional
respondents related to their essay topic.

Best regards,
