ECOSYSTEM ECOLOGIST -- The Department of Biology at the University of
Louisville (http://louisville.edu/biology) invites applications for a
tenure-track ecologist position at the Assistant Professor level to begin
August 1, 2018.  Successful candidates will have a research program focusing
on large-scale questions appropriate to modern ecosystem and landscape
ecology, e.g., the ecology of urban systems, restoration ecology, ecosystem
services, and global change. Individuals with interests that complement
those of existing faculty are encouraged to apply. Post-doctoral experience
is required. The successful candidate is expected to maintain an externally
funded research program and to contribute to the department's teaching
mission in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Primary teaching duties
will include undergraduate- and/or graduate-level courses in Global Change
Ecology and Ecosystem Ecology. The candidate will also have opportunities to
become involved in sustainability programs and initiatives on campus and in
