The Duval Lab at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech) is accepting applications for Master's students, with an anticipated start date in the Fall 2018. The principal focus of the lab is plant-soil- atmosphere interactions, with funded projects related to carbon cycling in natural areas, nitrogen management in agroecosystems, and contaminant cycling in the Animas/San Juan Rivers. All current projects have both field and laboratory components. For more information about the lab and what we do, please go to:
duvalecology.org/ and navigate to 'student positions' for application requirements. I have compiled some pictures of the area and field sites, and information about living and working in rural New Mexico. Please email with any questions. Preference for TA funding will be given to students with applications on file by January 15, 2017. BD [email protected] Benjamin D.
