Hello ECOLOGers, Are you a mid- or late career ecologist? Do you live in the Mid-Atlantic area? Are you a member of ESA? Are you attending the annual meeting in Portland? Bonus question: do you have good career stories to tell?
Then we need you! The ESA Mid-Atlantic Chapter is holding a mentoring and recruiting breakfast event for students and early career ecologists on Wednesday August 9, 7-8am (https://eco.confex.com/eco/2017/webprogram/Session13702.html). We are seeking 5 mentors to help with the event - minorities strongly encouraged, as we want to highlight diversity on all fronts, not only of career paths. Please contact me directly if you would like to volunteer your time and enjoy breakfast with some cool ecologists. NOTE: This event is limited to 50 attendees, first come first serve - so if you are a student or early career ecologist planning on attending, make sure to be on time. We will unfortunately have to stop admittance when we reach capacity. Thanks all!cheers,-a Astrid Caldas, PhD 240-4605275 I blog at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/astrid-caldas/http://www.linkedin.com/in/acaldashttp://twitter.com/climategeek
