Sarah Ouimette (M.sc. student in Dr. Lessard's lab at Concordia University) is 
looking for a 
motivated, hard-working summer research assistant for this upcoming summer 
(May-August 
2017). The position will involve catching live dragonfly and damselfly larvae 
and adults, 
identifying specimens down to species, and conducting thermal tolerance tests 
under 
controlled laboratory conditions. 

The project will be based at the University of Quebec in Rimouski and is 
co-supervised by 
ecophysiologist Dr. Calosi. Research assistants may be required to work 
irregular hours, 
including long days and weekends. 

Ideal Candidate 
- Has some field experience collecting and/or identifying insects 
- Has a valid drivers license 
- Enjoys working in the field as well as in the lab 
- Is meticulous and organized 
- Is interested in studying odonates or aquatic insects
- Has taken courses related to entomology, physiology, field ecology, 
biogeography or 
macroecology
