The Crawford Lab at the University of Houston is seeking graduate students interested in community ecology to begin in Fall 2017. Research in the lab is focused on the causes and consequences of plant diversity and covers a range of topics, including: - How genetic diversity influences community structure and ecosystem function - How interactions between plants and soil microbes influence plant community structure - The role of soil microbes in ecosystem succession - How genetic diversity and soil microbes influence plant invasions
PhD students are expected to have prior research experience and to develop their own research questions within the realm of community ecology.
