CUAHSI's Instrumentation Discovery Travel Grant program enables scientists to visit colleagues who have expertise or access to a specific instrument or technique to learn the details of the instrument installation, operation, maintenance, and data processing, so that they can efficiently deploy the new instrumentation or technique for use in their own research. Graduate students, post docs and faculty members enrolled or currently employed by a U.S. university are eligible to receive an Instrumentation Discovery Travel Grant of up to $1,000. The grant may be used for travel to any location, domestic or foreign. Applications must be submitted by September 30th to be considered for this round of funding. The application is simple and consists of a one page justification detailing what is to be learned, how this information will be used in your research, expected outcomes, a budget request, and letter of support from your host. The maximum award is $1,000 and must be used towards travel related expenses.
