Adjunct GIS instructor needed, spring 2017, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, North Adams, MA
We are looking for an adjunct instructor to teach an introductory course in GIS. The course meets in-person at MCLA on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings; 6:30-9:15 pm. Typical enrollment is ~20 undergraduate students in Environmental Studies. The instructor is responsible for the lecture and lab portions of this class. (There is no teaching assistant.) Spring 2017 semester dates: Jan 17-May 10, 2017. Salary is based on 5 credit hours of instruction at rates determined by the 2015-2017 DGCE collective bargaining agreement (http://mscaunion.org/day- and-dgce-contracts/ -- see p.24) M.S. required. Ph.D. preferred. Previous teaching experience required. Hybrid option possible with previous experience teaching in that format.
