The Biology Department at Bucknell University invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track faculty position to begin August 2017. We seek an integrative biologist who uses molecular and bioinformatic approaches to explore questions in ecology. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and an equally strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student-centered approaches. Teaching expectations will include upper level courses in molecular ecology, applied bioinformatics, and molecular biology, as well as rotation through introductory-level courses in support of the Biology curriculum and the general education goals of the University. The successful candidate will also establish a vibrant research program that involves talented undergraduates and has the potential to attract extramural funding.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or be ABD at the time of appointment, and be able to document relevant teaching experience as well as their commitment to effective, inclusive teaching.
