We seek a full time Research Scientist to be employed in theDepartment of Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Weed Science at New Mexico StateUniversity. Major responsibilities will include: (1) design and conductlaboratory and greenhouse studies in the areas of biology and physiology ofweeds and invasive plants (2) manage and organize the activities of thelaboratory, which includes operating laboratory equipment and training studentsto use this equipment, (3) maintain records on inventory, personnel, safetytraining, greenhouse spraying, waste disposal, other records needed to remaincompliant with OHSA regulations, (4) share in the responsibility to superviseand train graduate and undergraduate students, (5) assist with the developmentof research proposals and publications, and (6) provide technical support toweed science field studies and outreach activities as needed.
