Dear Ecolog,

Imagine if there was a way to collect specimens from thousands of tree
species around the world, to gather water samples from Antarctica to the
Amazon, or scat samples from anywhere on Earth. Now imagine that it didn't
take you extra time to make this happen.

This is now possible through our network of volunteer adventure scientists.
<http://www.adventurescience.org/project-management.html> By leveraging
the unique skills of these outdoor adventurers, we are able to gather
difficult-to-obtain data, at any scale, anywhere.

For us, data quality is key as this enables the rigorous analysis and
uncovering of science-based solutions. We ensure that our data is of the
highest quality by developing our protocols with our scientific partners,
applying a robust training regimen, as well as testing and monitoring our
volunteers to verify they meet the needed standards. The projects we
develop rely on the outdoor adventure community because they (1) have
outdoor survival skills and the ability to travel far and wide in the
backcountry, (2) pay close attention to detail, (3) are creative problem
solvers, and (4) are able to share their experiences via the rich tradition
of storytelling that is at the heart the outdoor community.

We will work with you to build project-specific protocols. We then recruit,
train and manage volunteers from our worldwide network who collect the
needed data.

Feel free to write <[email protected]> or call with your
project ideas and we look forward to getting you the data you need.

Cheers,

G
