Position: Temporary field assistant General: Assist with field data collection related to a research project investigating tree growth responses to climate.

Duration: This is a temporary, short-term field position spanning an approximately 4 week period from early September to early or mid October. Duties: Extract increment cores from trees Assist with mapping of tree locations Collect soil samples Camping in remote forest locations or campgrounds Qualifications: Interest in ecology and conservation Some wilderness hiking and camping experience Personal camping gear is required Salary: Approximately $1,500 per month.
