Modeling and Simulation of the Oklahoma City Coupled Human-Natural System Postdoctoral Researcher Position Geography and Environmental Sustainability, University of Oklahoma Job Description The Koch Lab is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work with an interdisciplinary team of researchers on the integrated modeling of the Oklahoma City coupled human and natural system. The position is part of the Oklahoma EPSCoR project (http://www.okepscor.org/) and will focus on the development, implementation, and application of a spatio-temporal simulation model. The simulation model will make use of the Envision modeling framework in order to integrate models representing the socio-economic and biophysical components of the system. The resulting integrated model will support the analysis of the relationship between human perception of climate, vegetation, and water demand for irrigation. Required Qualifications * Ph.D. in Geography, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Hydrology, or a related field * Programming skills (preferably C++) and experience in integrated modeling * Solid statistical and GIS skills * A strong computational background * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Willingness to participate in interdisciplinary research is a prerequisite.
