Hi Ecolog, Adventure Scientists <http://www.adventurescience.org/project-management.html> is currently seeking proposals from researchers who seek data from remote or challenging locations.
By leveraging the skills of the outdoor adventure community we are uniquely able to gather difficult-to-obtain data at any scale, in any environment. We rely on the outdoor adventure community because they (1) pay close attention to detail, (2) are creative problem solvers, (3) are able to share their experiences via the rich tradition of storytelling that is at the heart the outdoor community. Suitable projects must focus on a conservation issue in which data is a limiting factor to finding a solution, demonstrate there is a clear need for our outdoor based network, and work towards an applied management or conservation outcome that is likely to happen as a result of the work. We recruit, train, and manage volunteers <http://www.adventurescience.org/current-projects.html> to the level of a technician in order to gather get you data from anywhere on the planet. To submit an initial inquiry please take 5-10 minutes to fill in this form <http://www.adventurescience.org/project-management-form.html>. Adventure Scientists is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that equips partners with data collected from the outdoors that are crucial to unlocking solutions to the world's environmental challenges. We look forward to hearing from you soon, G Gregg Treinish Executive Director Adventure Scientists 406.579.9702 www.adventurescience.org
