[ECOLOG-L] Job opportunity: Data and Information manager for Santa Barbara Coastal LTER

The UCSB Marine Science Institute (MSI) seeks a Scientific Information 
Manager to support the scientific mission of the Santa Barbara Coastal 
Long-term Ecological Research (SBC LTER) project, part of an NSF program 
engaged in interdisciplinary research on population, community and 
ecosystem level processes in the context of environmental change. The 
Information Manager facilitates data sharing within the project, and 
works with the project’s participants to design and deliver data 
products to network repositories for reuse and synthesis. This position 
represents bridge between science and information technology, and 
involves regular interactions with SBC LTER investigators, students and 
staff, plus close collaboration with other LTER sites and the data
