The Theodore Roosevelt Postdoctoral Scholars Program provides an
opportunity for early career scientists to gain professional skills in all
aspects of applied conservation research in a university setting. This
particular opportunity focuses on the status of and factors limiting moose
populations along their southern range limit in the eastern United States,
specifically within the Adirondack Park – the largest contiguous protected
area in the lower 48 states. The Roosevelt Scholar will play a lead
investigator role as part of a multi-institutional team, working closely
with Dr. Jacqueline Frair at the SUNY ESF Roosevelt Wild Life Station and
partners from the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation,
