The Director of Citizen Science is responsible for managing and growing National Audubon Society’s citizen science footprint. This will include creating innovative projects, evaluating and improving existing citizen science initiatives, and building on the traditions of Audubon’s citizen science legacy. Working with the National Science team and in collaboration with the network team, the Director will help leverage success of citizen science projects designed to solve conservation problems across the country by ensuring a rigorous framework for all programs, providing support to and motivation of participants, and evaluating program response. S/he will also be responsible for actively promoting Audubon’s leadership in the citizen science and scientific communities and will contribute to or lead publication of articles about Audubon’s citizen science efforts and findings. This position may be remotely based or embedded in one of Audubon's offices throughout the United States.
