Graduate research assistantship available toward a MS in Watershed Science
through the Watershed Studies Institute (WSI) at Murray State University
with Paul Gagnon (https://www.murraystate.edu/wsi/wsi_faculty.cfm). The
position examines ecological and edaphic controls of species composition in
post oak flatwoods of xerohydric wetlands. Stipend is $12,000 per year with
opportunity to apply for additional funding in second year; complementary
room can be arranged for the student at Hancock Biological Station on
Kentucky Lake. Includes the opportunity to work closely with USFWS and NRCS
professionals. Position begins August 15, 2016, by which time applicants
must have completed an undergraduate degree in biology or a related field
and have demonstrated interest in field-based and/or quantitative
