I am seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working MS or PhD student for a funded position in ecosystem ecology in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology at Iowa State University. The student will work on a highly collaborative interdisciplinary project investigating the controls on greenhouse gas emissions and nitrate leaching from agricultural and restored grassland landscapes in Iowa, with a focus on ephemeral wetland environments. Background in soil or plant ecology or biogeochemistry is desirable, and previous research experience is essential.

Interested candidates should contact Steven Hall (stevenjh [at] iastate.edu) /as soon as possible/ for admission in the fall semester of 2016. Field work could potentially begin summer 2016. More information about our laboratory can be found at: https://stevenhallecology.wordpress.com
