*Responsibilities*: LUMCON is seeking a motivated person with a science background to fill a research assistant position. Duties will include conducting and participating in laboratory research and fieldwork related to fisheries and toxicology. Specific duties will include conducting experiments, recording and maintaining data, setting up and maintaining culture systems, caring for fish and other live organisms and field collections of organisms. *Qualifications*: A college degree in biology, chemistry or a related field of science. Good organizational skills are a must. It is also important that the applicants be comfortable working on boats and willing to learn new skills that include plumbing seawater systems, building or repairing holding systems, plankton culture and caring for fish in the laboratory. Basic computer skills and the ability to use tools is a plus. *Starting salary*: This is a temporary position lasting 9 months with the possibility of extension dependent upon acquisition of additional funding.
