POSITION STATEMENT

Position Title: 
Postdoctoral Fellow (Colorado State University, Department of Fish, 
Wildlife, & Conservation Biology)

Location: 
Fort Collins, Colorado

Salary:
$45,000–$52,000, commensurate with experience

Start date: 
negotiable (ideally Spring—Summer 2016)

Description: 
Full-time, two-year initial term with possible extension depending on 
performance and project funding. The position is funded entirely from 
federal sources under a National Park Service Cooperative Agreement. 

Duties:         
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Colorado State 
University (CSU) and National Park Service (NPS) scientists to 
investigate the effects of light pollution on wildlife. The CSU 
scientists (PI’s: Dr. Lisa Angeloni, Dr. Kevin Crooks, and Dr. George 
Wittemyer) are part of a collaborative research team with NPS partners 
(PI: Dr. Kurt Fristrup; Dr. Megan McKenna) in the Natural Sounds and 
Night Skies Division (NSNSD), within the Natural Resource Stewardship 
and Science Directorate (NRSS) located in Fort Collins, Colorado. The 
direction of this research position will be crafted to take advantage of 
the applicant’s expertise, the capabilities of the CSU and NPS science 
team, and existing NPS datasets.
