The Department of Biological Sciences at Bowling Green State University
invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position as Marine &
Aquatic Biology instructor beginning with the fall 2016 semester.  We seek
a motivated and dedicated colleague to help address curricular needs
resulting from rapid growth we have experienced in our Marine & Aquatic
Sciences Specialization. Duties may include teaching Marine Biology, a
non-majors service course in this discipline, and curriculum development in
the area of Marine Conservation Biology that would align with our growing
partnership with a nearby public zoo and aquarium facility. The candidate
will also assist with coordination of our Marine Laboratory, which includes
outreach and will assist in the development of field-based classes in the
marine sciences. We particularly encourage research-active applicants who
will promote student participation in research in the aquatic sciences.
Some academic advising responsibilities will also be expected of the
successful candidate. Minimum requirements are a Ph.D. and prior experience
instructing college lecture and laboratory courses.
