Ecology / Environmental Biology

The Department of Biological Sciences at Marquette University is expanding its strength in the area of Ecology & Environmental Biology and seeks a candidate at the Assistant Professor level. Preference will be given to candidates who are testing broad conceptual issues in Ecology or Environmental Biology, with an emphasis in Ecosystem, Population, Physiological, or Experimental Ecology; however, we welcome applications from stellar candidates in any area of Ecology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience, with a demonstrated potential for high quality research and teaching. The successful candidate is expected to establish an innovative research program funded by extramural grants.

Salary, benefits, and startup are commensurate with those of other research universities. Teaching responsibilities are commensurate with those of a junior faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences (currently one class per semester in the candidate's area of expertise). The candidate is expected to participate in the research training of graduate and undergraduate students.
