services company, with expertise in the development and improvement
of physical and social infrastructure for communities around the world.
Cardno is seeking a Natural Resource Damage Practitioner in our
Newark, DE office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
> Participating in research and analysis to provide technical
support to a wide range of projects
> Constructing bio-economic models, age structured matrix models,
and population viability analyses
> Preparing reports and presenting information to clients,
government agencies, and the public
> Developing and implementing biological and economic data
collection efforts, including field work on oil spill sites
Basic Qualifications:
> Master's degree or higher in Resource Economics, Agriculture
Economics, or quantitative biology or ecology. (PhD preferred)
> Minimum of 3-5 years' experience
> Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including
mathematics, statistics and spreadsheet modeling
> Excellent oral and written communication skills
> Moderate travel required
> Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
> Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel, and
demonstrated ability to work with statistical software
> Working knowledge of economic and/or ecological theory,
mathematics and statistics
> Excellent interpersonal skills, as the candidate will work closely
with clients, government personnel and/or members of the public
> Solid time-management and follow-through skills, with the ability
to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects
> Ability to work well independently and with a diverse,
multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
