FIELD RESEARCH ASSISTANT: Host-Pathogen Evolution/Amphibian Conservation

The Voyles lab is seeking a Field Research Assistant to participate in an
NSF funded project investigating the evolution of virulence in an amphibian
disease system.  The successful applicant will work with doctoral students
and postdocs at Tulane University and University of California, Berkeley.
This field team will be traveling to different sites in Western Panama for
June-August 2015. Expenses for travel and accommodation will be provided and
a summer stipend is available.

Preferred qualifications include:
Research experience in infectious disease, including field and laboratory skills
Proficiency in conversational Spanish
Experience driving manual, 4x4 vehicles 
Field experience, including camping and backpacking in tropical regions 
Enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and team cooperation/leadership skills
