We have just begun a search for a 1 year Visiting Assistant Professor at
the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in the Department of
Biological Sciences. The position will begin August 2015. We are looking for
someone who can teach core courses in general biology, cell biology or
physiology, vertebrate zoology, and an advanced course in vertebrate
zoology.  We are particularly interested in someone who can teach mammalogy,
herpetology, or ornithology.  Our Biology program began in 2012, and has ~
700 Biology majors and ~ 140 Health Science majors.  We have concentrations
in ecology and evolution, plant sciences, biomedical sciences, and marine
biology.  Opportunities exist to work with undergraduate research students,
and for collaborative research with faculty in the department.  Applications
