Faculty Position

The School of Life Sciences at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas seeks 
applicants for a tenure-
track assistant professor position in the broad disciplinary areas of 
Biomedical Research or 
Functional Genomics. Programs that bridge traditional subdivisions of biology 
are highest priority, 
examples include: Biogeography or Ecology of Disease; Mathematical or 
Computational Modeling 
of Biological Systems; Integrative Physiology; Cell Biology; Regenerative 
Biology; Microbiology. 
Experimental systems may include organisms from any domain. Candidates who 
complement 
current interests in the School and show potential to collaborate with other 
UNLV institutes or 
colleges will be of particular interest.

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a relevant 
discipline and have 
postdoctoral experience.  Faculty members will be expected to teach at the 
undergraduate and 
graduate levels, and maintain a vigorous, externally-funded research program.  
The appointment 
will begin in August 2015.
