Dear Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention and invite you to submit an abstract
to the following section at the 2015 AGU-CGU-GAC-MAC Joint Assembly to be
held at Montreal, Canada between 3-7 May, 2015.

Title:

Biogeochemical Cycling in Wetland Ecosystems: From Observations to Modelling

Session Description:

Wetlands are one of the key biogeochemical hotspots in the world. Located
at the interface between terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, wetlands
develop unique hydrological regime, soils, and plant communities. Wetlands
serve important biogeochemical functions by exchanging carbon and nutrients
with the surrounding environment and transforming them to different forms.
While these processes often vary considerably across space and time, little
is known about the variability and controls of processes involved in
biogeochemical cycling. This session invites papers that address topics in
relation to the biogeochemical cycling of carbon, nutrients and other
chemical compounds in various types of wetland ecosystems. Both
observational and modelling approaches are welcome.
