Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) Wildlife Biologist Department of Biology Primary Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities will include wildlife toxicology, toxicology, upper division wildlife and environmental biology courses, other specialty courses, and introductory biology courses for majors and non-majors. Undergraduate advising of wildlife/conservation biology majors will be required. The successful candidate will develop a research program in wildlife or environmental biology involving undergraduate and graduate students and will collaborate with other wildlife/conservation biologists. Required Qualifications Ph.D. or ABD (with Ph.D. by August 2015) in a related field (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university). Evidence of active research in wildlife or environmental biology with the potential to engage Southeast students in significant research activities. Experience teaching at college/university level as a graduate assistant, instructor or above. Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community. Demonstrated commitment to working with multi-cultural populations and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities.
