*M.S. Assistantship (Invasive Asian Carp competition with shad)*
*Location: *Murray State University, Murray KY department of Biological
Sciences.
*Responsibilities:* The research will examine the effects of invasive
Asian carp on shad in Kentucky Lake. The focus of the research will
include efforts to determine diet overlap and competition using diet
analysis and stable isotopes.
*Qualifications:* The candidate should have a strong interest in
limnology, fish ecology, and phytoplankton/zooplankton taxonomy with a
degree in ecology, biology, natural resources or related field. The
candidate should have good communication and writing skills, a strong
work ethic, and the desire to work under strenuous field conditions.
*Salary (stipend):* $10,000 for 1 yr and position will cover living
expenses if candidate wishes to live at Hancock Biological Field
Station. Opportunities exist for additional support through competitive
teaching assistantships as well as tuition waivers.
