Tenure Track Faculty Position at Murray State University located in
western Kentucky:
Full time nine month tenure track position to begin August 15, 2015.
Qualifications:Ph.D. in Biology, Zoology or closely related discipline
with postdoctoral experience.Applicants must have postdoctoral research
and/or teaching experience. Candidates must be able to teach courses
related to Biological Sciences. Candidates must demonstrate research
potential in a biological science as evidenced by publications, grants,
or other scholarly activities. Excellent teaching skills including use
of modern classroom pedagogy required.
Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:Teach introductory courses in
biology including Zoology and Human Anatomy, as well as upper level
courses in the area of the candidate’s expertise. Preference will be
given to candidates with the ability to teach Human Physiology.Candidate
will conduct research, pursue external funding, mentor undergraduate and
graduate student research and advise students pursuing professional
degrees in health-related fields.
