Sara Gomez Communications Specialist, Office of Sustainability, Tufts University The Tufts University Office of Sustainability is seeking a highly creative and enthusiastic full-time Communications Specialist to promote Tufts’ sustainability efforts to the university community and build a culture of environmental sustainability on campus. This individual will manage the Office’s internal and external communications on all three Massachusetts campuses, including the website, social media channels, print publications and other outreach materials. S/he will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the Office’s communications and marketing strategies, from designing posters to creating community-based social marketing plans. S/he will work with student interns, sustainability staff and other stakeholders at the University to report on Tufts’ progress towards its sustainability goals, create behavior change campaigns, disseminate sustainability news, run effective outreach and engagement programs and events, and support the Office’s many sustainability programs. We are seeking candidates with 3-5 years of direct experience in communications, marketing, community engagement campaigns, and campus sustainability with a BS/BA in communications, marketing, public relations, business or a related field and training in community-based social marketing, market research, and/or behavior change.
