The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of
New Hampshire invites applications for a three-year teaching position,
academic year, benefits eligible, non-tenure track (.88% FTE).  The position
is potentially renewable.  The University of New Hampshire is committed to

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The lecturer will be responsible for teaching up to five
courses per academic year, primarily in the Environmental Conservation and
Sustainability (ECS) program.  Three of the five courses will be principles
of sustainability, systems thinking for sustainable living, and
sustainability leadership.  Additional courses will be determined based on
the successful candidate’s expertise and the needs of the department.  The
lecturer will advise undergraduates in the ECS program and engage in
on-campus and off-campus service activities.  Depending on qualifications,
the lecturer may have opportunities for program leadership within the
department.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Ph.D. in natural resources, environmental studies,
or related fields preferred; demonstrated potential for excellence in
teaching.  Because this is a full-time teaching position, prior successful
teaching experience at the university level is required.
