Governors State University seeks nominations and applications for a full-time 
(10 Month), tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in the 
undergraduate Biology and graduate Environmental Biology programs in the 
Division of Science, College of Arts and Sciences. The position is available 
August 2014 or until filled. The successful candidate's research should utilize 
invertebrate organisms to address problems and hypotheses in areas such as 
conservation genetics or toxicology. The preferred candidate also will have 
demonstrated ability or strong potential to assist with the development and 
delivery of general education biology courses including Human Biology/Lab and 
Environmental Biology/Lab and lower division coursework for incoming Biology 
majors. In addition, the candidate will contribute by teaching a course in 
her/his area of expertise and by mentoring research at the undergraduate and 
graduate levels. The Biology program offers bachelor's degrees in Biology and 
Biology-Teacher Education, a Certificate in Biotechnology, and master's degree 
in Environmental Biology. Governors State University is the only regional 
public, comprehensive university in Chicago's south suburban area, serving
