Dear Listers, The Ecological Society of America created a Committee on Ecological Nomenclature in 1931.
I am looking for photos of the four chairs of this committee (which I would use in a research manuscript on ecological terminology), i.e.: - Winfred Emory Allen (chair in 1931) – Scripps Institution of Oceanography - Herbert Christian Hanson (1933) – Colorado State University - Frank E. Eggleton (1940) – University of Michigan - F. Raymond Fosberg (1953) – Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History Ideally (but not exclusively), I would prefer photos of the former authors doing field work. I have directly contacted ESA but they didn’t have the photos – I have also contacted (unsuccessfully so far) the research sites where the four authors worked.
