The Department of Biology (http://www.bio.txstate.edu) at Texas State University (http://www.txstate.edu) invites applications for a stream ecologist. The position is tenure-track at the rank of assistant professor. The individual selected for the position will be expected to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Biology and develop an externally funded research program involving students. Required qualifications are a Ph.D. in the life sciences, postdoctoral experience, and a publication record in stream ecology. Preferred qualifications are a record of extramural funding to support research, a record of collaboration with other aquatic scientists, and experience in applied research related to stream macroinvertebrates and trophic-level interactions. Salary and start-up package are negotiable.
